One of the services offered by the NHBA through its dedicated Crime Prevention Specialist is a CPTED (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) survey.
This survey is not only about alarms, security cameras and locking up at night, but also takes into consideration the building itself and the area it’s situated in, procedures, staff training, staff safety and work habits.
A CPTED survey looks at all of these areas and determines where there is room for improvement, highlights and shares best practice and can therefore give business owners and managers a clear path to help make their businesses safer.
CPTED surveys are free to all NHBA members - and Associate members.
To request a CPTED survey, email NHBA’s Crime Prevention Specialist Anna-Louise Crane.
